'Ohana (Dinner)

'Ohana (Dinner) - Disney's Polynesian Resort

One place we've always wanted to try was 'Ohana. We've always been hesitant since the selection wasn't huge and most of the stuff we can get anywhere for a fraction of the cost. My best friend has been telling me for years to try 'Ohana and for years we've denied going. However one day when in the Magic Kingdom walking around my wife said if you can get 'Ohana for dinner then we will go. Well after trying several times through the Disney app I finally got it and we headed here for dinner.

'Ohana is served family-style, meaning the food is all shareable that comes to the table. Overall the experience was great, now keep in mind that during dinner this restaurant does not do character dining. One draw here is the amazing view of Cinderella Castle, and during the fireworks I'm sure it's amazing, if you get a great seat. If not head down to the beach, view is great there as well.

Service was really spot on here and our waiter took great care of us. The people bringing out food also did a great job making sure our plates were FULL the entire time. Food all tasted great and had no real complaints. We would come back again, not something we would do all the time since it was a bit pricey, but once in a blue it's perfect. This was definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Disney.

'Ohana, means family!

First you walk up to get some bread.

Our view, behind the column is Cinderella Castle.

Bread wasn't the best. Kona still has some of the best bread and butter, well mainly the butter.

This was the Mixed Green Salad with a Lilikoi Dressing. Didn't love the salad and could have done without it.

This is the platter that everyone at the table will share. The lo mein was probably some of the best I've ever had, great flavor. The Potstickers were very addicting! Chicken was better than I thought, not bad at all.

They come around with skewers of meat. Have as much as you want.

This was the sirloin steak. I must have had a bad piece because the first one I had tasted horrible, the second piece was good. Not amazing.

Here is the peel and eat shrimp. These were pretty good.

Finally the chicken. Holy cow (or chicken) was this good! So moist and amazing flavor. This alone will get me to come back again and again!

Some of the dipping sauces.

One of the most famous desserts in all of Disney World. This the the 'Ohana Bread Pudding. Just looking at this now is making me want to jump in my car and go to the Polynesian Resort to grab some. Now keep in mind if you're looking to just get this, head to the bar right outside of 'Ohana and you're able to order this.
