Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
Every year at the Magic Kingdom on select nights through to Halloween the park closes early to host their Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This is a special-ticketed event. The park closes early to normal-admission guests. For the party you can enter in around 4pm, party starts at 6pm. You are given a special wristband and a bag, the bag is for the candy spots, located all around the park.
You may ask what is the party all about. It's a chance to meet some characters that are not available during the normal days such as the Seven Dwarfs and Moana. Also special treats just for the event that you can purchase. Also a parade and stage show.
The fan part is seeing people dressed up for the event. Adults and kids can get dressed up and be as creative as you want. Just check to see the guidelines on what you can and cannot wear during the event. A tip we have is to bring a bag for all of the candy that you will get. They have tons of spots all around the park and there is no limit to what you can get. We've known people to bring home about a hundred pounds of candy. We did pretty good for just the two of us. We brought a backpack and filled it all the way up. Candy selection wasn't the best but still fun.
Overall, we felt it was something fun to do once and really don't see ourselves doing again anytime soon. The stage show was really good and the parade was good. Other than that it was just walking around getting candy and seeing some characters. Rides are all open, but being dressed up we really didn't want to do any. Also being local we can do rides whenever we want.
