Medieval Times - Orlando
Welcome to Medieval Times! Not too far away from the theme parks you will find one of the best dinner theaters around! This has always been such a fun place for a night out and to do something different. We used to come up to Orlando just for the dinner shows. Medieval Times we've done on several different occasions and it's always been a lot of fun.
We usually stick to the earlier of the shows on the weekend. You can book online or buy tickets once you're there (if available). Doors open about an hour before showtime. Once you get your tickets you get a few chances to take some professional photos. Then you enter the massive waiting area. You can choose to wait around inside and have a drink, shop for a souvenir or head outside and check out the Medieval village. We've done it in the past and it is a lot of fun, lots of history and interesting things to see. We did not do that during our most recent trip, we will next time. Back inside you can grab a drink at one of the many bars, which remain open during the show and bar service will come around throughout the show as well. I want to mention that the souvenir areas have some of the best items, tons of options and every time we go they have something different.
The seating does have different levels depending on the package you purchase. Also make sure to look for deals online, we spent around $80 for two. Once they are ready, they will call section by section, starting with anyone who upgraded and got the VIP package. Followed by the different color sections. From what we remember you can pick out the color section you want, might been different now, but doesn't hurt to ask if you're looking to be in a certain color. We had the Blue Knight in section 2. We had front row seats next to the King. We would have been better in the middle, which we had last time, however seats were still really good. You have three sections on each side and the main show area in the middle.
Your server will first come by to everyone in the section to greet themselves and talk a little bit about what will be happening throughout the evening. The entire show takes about 2 hours. They offer Pepsi, water and tea (along with bar service that will come around). During the show you will have an amazing feast, fit for a king! Every time we've gone the food has been amazing, each and every time. Below you will see all of the different options they have available.
Onto the main show. To sum it up, they do a few different Medieval games and some different presentations. The entire show is so much fun! This is really something you need to come and check out at least once.
A few tips. Do the early show, and get there when the doors open. Doing that you can have plenty of time to grab a drink, take pictures and see the village before showtime. Do some research on the different color sections. From what we saw the two middle sections and half of each side are VIP sections, if you're doing standard seating then ask for a section up front (if open). If you can, then upgrade and ask for the middle section, for the best seats. Another tip, have fun, this show is exciting and thrilling, so enjoy yourself, scream and yell!
Overall we love Medieval Times, it is one of the best dinner theaters in Orlando. We HIGHLY recommend doing this.
Welcome to Medieval Times!
Chance to meet the King.
One of the many bar areas.
Sitting area and shopping.
All available for purchase!
This was from our seats. The King is to our left, seats are not bad at all. Our last time we were in the middle in the Black and White Knight section.
The feast for the evening!
Did I mention that you have to eat with your hands!
The amazing Tomato Bisque. This gets better and better every time we go.
The show starts with some presentations.
The yummy Toasted Garlic Bread. Our waiter came back over and gave us a second piece.
Our Blue Knight!
The King!
Didn't realize this until I posted the pictures that the Hawk presentation comes right before we dig into this bird. Kind of morbid, but don't worry about it, just eat the chicken! I can never come close to making this at home no matter how many times I try. Always cooked to perfection!
Herb-basted Potato and Sweet Corn. Everything was really good, these were no exception.
For dessert tonight we had cake, really good.
Time for battle!
It's really hard to explain every part of the show, but it is one worth seeing!
When we were leaving the castle. I wanted to get a few more images of the waiting area.
