Bongos Cuban Cafe

Bongos Cuban Cafe - Disney Springs

Tonight was on a whim when we met up with family. We scored a last minute reservation here. So overall I'm going to say out of the 6 of us, maybe 2 enjoyed the meal. Service was overall fine. However the food wasn't the best. We tried a bit of this and that, nothing was over the top great for any of us. Mainly the pork was very dry in some of the dishes we got. I will go into that a little bit below. So overall we were not huge fans of Bongos and won't be back anytime soon. It is one of the older restaurants in the area and actually closing soon, looking forward to seeing what comes in it's place.

This was the side of Yucca Fries and Coleslaw. This was actually pretty good. Only wish I had more Yucca.

These were the BBQ Guava Ribs, it is oven-roasted Baby Back Ribs with Guava BBQ Sauce. Overall I honestly liked the ribs. Very tender and tasted nicely. One of the better dishes here, luckily I had it. I recommend these. I'm picky on my ribs and these were on my list and I give them a big thumbs up!

This was the Award-Winning Cuban Slow-roasted Cuban Pork. It is Traditional Cuban-style, 24-hour marinated Roasted Pork with grilled onions, mojo and rice with beans. 3 of us got this and no one enjoyed it. The pork was extremely dry and flavorless. Onions were decent and you got the hint of mojo, just did not carry at all over to the pork. The rice tasted like it was day old and microwaved, like when you do fried rice the next day. Wasn't good at all. We actually took half the dish home and was a bit better the next day.

Thank you for checking out our review of Bongos Cuban Cafe located in Disney Springs.
