Columbia Restaurant (Celebration)

 Columbia Restaurant - Celebration

So we decided to try something new on our visit to Celebration, we wanted a different restaurant and we walked around for a bit and looked at different menus. Then we came across Columbia, which we walked into a few weeks prior and decided to try it out tonight for dinner. Have to say, we were a bit hesitant on trying something out of our taste-range. Have to say this was an amazing restaurant, one of those restaurants that you leave and already planning your next trip to return for more. Now it is a bit pricey, but we felt worth every penny. Food was great, service was good. Loved the ambiance. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.

(Second visit) So we were walking around the area looking for something for dinner. Didn't want the Tavern again, so we headed to Columbia. Once again we had super fast food, amazing flavors and an overall perfect dining service. Left us wanting more!

Part of the dining area, this was the view from our table.

We start off our meal with bread and butter. Bread was very crispy.

However our bread on the second visit was super soft and amazing, the way bread was meant to be!

We ordered a Sangria, could have been bigger and more flavorful.

We decided to go with some Tapas. This was The "Tapeo" Sampler, we choose the one seafood with two regular tapas.

Our first choice was the Pollo al Ajillo, which is tender bite-size pieces of boneless chicken breast dusted in seasoned flour, then fried and topped with a sauce of fresh sliced garlic that was sauteed in EVOO, also Spanish piquillo peppes, parsley and a splash of dry sherry. We both enjoyed these. Flavor was good, a bit spicy. Did soak the remaining sauce with the bread we had.

Our second choice was the Empanadas de Picadillo, which were stuffed with spiced ground beef, garlic, tomato, onions, raisins and olives. We also enjoyed these as well. Seasoned very well.

Last, but certainly not least was the seafood option we went with, the Croquetas de Langosta, two large croquettes made with Maine lobster meat, blended into a delicate roux, breaded with Cuban bread crumbs, served with a lobster sauce. These were amazing!!!! Such great flavor, and that sauce! OMG! This was our favorite dish of the three.

I went with the La Completa Cubana, this was a sample of Roast Pork, Boliche Criollo, Empanada, Platanos, Yuca, Rice and Beans. Everything on this plate was amazing! If I had to pick my least favorite it would be the pork, still really good. Honestly we both loved everything about this dish. Flavors were OUTSTANDING!!

My wife went with the Palomilla, which is a thin, marinated sirloin, grilled, topped with mojo crudo (onions, parsley and lime juice), severed with platanos and rice. Another incredible dish. I never knew steak this thin can still melt in your mouth and stay so tender. I will get this my self another time. I loved it.

Thank you for checking out our review of Columbia Restaurant located in Celebration.
