Paradise Nights at Discovery Cove

Paradise Nights - Discovery Cove

A break from the magic of Disney we find ourselves on a journey in Paradise. Located minutes away from Disney World across the street from SeaWorld Orlando you will find Discovery Cove. During the day you can book to come to this all-inclusive resort where you can spend the day in paradise. The event is $19 for children (ages 3 to 9) and $65 for adults.

Paradise Nights is an "after-hours" event that is specially ticketed for a select number of guests. It includes food, drinks and entertainment. Going in we really didn't know what to expect, but we walked out wanting to come back again and even come during the day to this beautiful location. The event is $19 for children (ages 3 to 9) and $65 for adults. You must bring an ID with you for the event. Check-in is at 6:30pm and the event runs from 7pm to around 9pm.

First you will gather in the lobby where you will check-in, then head down the path to get a picture taken (available for purchase at the end of the event) as well as a pre-event cocktail punch. Once they are setup and ready you will head down to the beach-lagoon where you will go to your table and then wait for the buffet to open up. Once the buffet opens you will be treated to a tropical-inspired dinner. We didn't know how good or bad the food would have been, we were blown away, food was excellent. To go with the buffet you have the option to an open bar which serves, water, beer, wine and some beer options. The trainer will come out with a couple different animal's so you can get an up-close look and picture with them. We has an owl and a sloth, they do say that the animals do change. During the night the other trainers and host will come out to talk about Discovery Cove and introduce the dolphins. Also do some training sessions with the dolphins. Ending the night you will get to talk with the trainers about the animals. Live music and dancing will be available all night. Lastly when you leave they will have the gift shop still open as well as the photo center so you can look at the photos you took earlier. You can also talk to the staff if you're interested in booking another visit at Discovery Cove.

Overall we had a wonderful time at Paradise Nights at Discovery Cove. We highly recommend this for anyone and everyone. Great for a date night, or family night or just to get out of the house. Make sure when you book to dress comfy, you will spend most of the time on the beach. The event runs about two hours. It is a one-of-a-kind experience that brings you to a tropical paradise with a close up view of some amazing animals. The event was very relaxing, nothing like the other dinner events in Orlando.

 Welcome to Discovery Cove.

Inside the lobby you will be greeted by some of the incredible staff members who will check you in for the event.

Some of the check-in terminal stations.

One of your first views once you step outside of the lobby into this tropical oasis paradise.

Your pre-event drinks. The orange in non-alcoholic and the yellow has alcohol. The yellow was VERY strong, but delicious.

We start with the dessert station, why not right! All of the cakes and pies they offered were amazing. We had a cheesecake, chocolate, key lime pie and a carrot cake option. Coffee is also available.

Here is a shot of some of the seating. Keep in mind that this event is on the sand so make sure to dress accordingly.

After taking the picture it does look like their is a ton of people here, but honestly it's not as bad as the picture shows. They have plenty of seating and it never once felt crowded.

Here is the lagoon where the dolphins were at.

More of the seating area, you can see the buffet stations in the background. You're not allowed through the entire park, just in this area and towards the front at the end.

This was so much fun spending time with the two-toed sloth. He was so happy and very friendly. They don't keep them out long so make sure to keep an eye out for the animals. The lines never got too long to see them and it wasn't a run, we managed to get several pictures and videos in.

  Just hanging around.

You looking at me?

Now we start on the amazing food offered at Paradise Nights, first we have potatoes. These were so good, loved the flavor.

We did not try the rice. As you can see at the bottom of the picture you can put it in a container if you want.

This is the Hawaiian Chicken, woah was this tasty!

Salad with couscous. Did not try this option.

The Tortellini was really good. Cooked perfectly.

Wanted to try the Salmon, everyone said it was really good. Next time.

Another salad on top and roasted vegetables on the bottom.

This is the beef carving station. Beef was pretty good. Also had a jus sauce and bread to go with it.

Here are the options for kids, you have hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, french fries and some crispy chicken tenders.

Here is what my wife started with.

And here is what I started out with. That bread is awesome!

Another picture of the great dessert options they have. Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Cake, Cheesecake and Carrot Cake. We had everything but the Chocolate Cake.

Not too sweet which made it even better. Everything tasted great!

This is the open bar that you have which is included in the cost. As you can see from the picture your options include soda, beer and wine along with water.

Some of the dolphins with their trainers.

It looks further than it was. We had on of the best views from our table, no bad seats, plenty of room on the beach to view as well.

The dolphins were out all night, the trainers did a few different exercises with them throughout the evening.

At the end of the demonstrations with the dolphins the trainers will be around to talk with guests about the animals. Also will stick around to hang out and party with everyone.

Speaking of partying, we had a DJ that had some music playing all evening and some classic, fun dancing songs.

At the end of the evening before you leave you can head to the gift shop that they have available.

I was laughing at the prices they charged vs Disney. Disney is so much more for the same styled items.

Some really neat stuff! Pricing is not bad either.
Such unique items!

Thank you for joining us as we checked out Paradise Nights at Discovery Cove. It was one of the most relaxing nights we've had at a dinner event. Couldn't have asked for better weather or a better experience. We HIGHLY recommend giving this a night to do if you're local to the area or coming in on vacation. It's a great event if you're coming with your significant other or your entire family. The staff was great all evening. Can't wait to do this again!
