Cooper's Hawk (International Drive)

 Cooper's Hawk - International Drive

Down the block from the Orlando Icon (aka Orlando Eye) is one of the best restaurant's that we've been to since moving to Orlando a year ago. It's right off the strip of International Drive and on Sand Lake Road. Parking is available, either valet or park behind the building in the large parking lot.

First impressions, well it was busy! That is because in the front is a winery. Overall ambiance was nice, nothing great, seating felt like a cafeteria and too open. The service was not that great at all, felt like all of the other tables were having the same issue. I understand it is a Saturday night and busy but it should have been that bad. However the food, glad we stuck around, the food was stunning! Way beyond our expectations and since leaving for our first time we've been wanting to go back. Food was fresh and everything is made-from-scratch. Overall we loved this restaurant and will return again!

Welcome to Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant. Before we moved, where we used to live we had one down the road from us that had opened up, we've always wanted to check it out and now we regret not doing it sooner.

A warm Pretzel Bread and Butter, my wife loved it. I thought it was really good, wish it had a dash of Pretzel salt on him. Otherwise still really good.

We decided on getting a flight, this was the Sparkling Flight which consisted of Blanc de Blanc. Sparkling Rose, Almond and Raspberry. Almond was our favorite, all of the others were really good as well.

We're diving this blog right into the main courses. For mine I decided to go with the Surf & Turf option which was Maple, Mustard & Pretzel-Crusted Boneless Pork Chop with Pistachio-Crusted Grouper alongside with French Fries (my choice, you can also get another vegetable) and Mary's Potatoes. This was one of the best dishes I've ever had in Orlando. Every bite was better than the next. The Pork Chop was something like I've never had before, especially with that Maple Flavor in each bite. The Grouper was my first time having that fish and it was also great! Haven't had a meal that delicious in a long time.

My wife decided to go with Trio of Medallions, which is three Filet Medallions each topped with a different option. One was topped with Horseradish, the other was topped with Bleu Cheese and the third was a Parmesan Crust. On the side she got Asparagus and Mary's Potatoes. Again, another amazing dish! I'm a fan of dishes like this where you get multiple options on one plate. Each was cooked to perfection, I wished they were a little bit bigger, but overall great! The potatoes we both got were also great. Very flavorful.

One of the dining areas.

Way too open for us. Wished it was more private with the tables.

This section wasn't too bad.

They had a bar area as well.

We make it to the check-in desk in the front.

Once you walk in (to the right of the picture) you have the winery and a shopping section that you can check out.

Some of the wine stoppers, loved the Giraffe one, but way too much for us to spend.

Thank you for checking out our review of Copper's Hawk located off of International Drive in Orlando.
