Sanaa

Sanaa - Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Welcome to Sanaa, located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Sanaa is famous for one thing and that is the Bread Service. People come from all over just for this. So of course it is one of those things that we needed to try. We've been wanting to come here for a long time and were so excited to finally dine here. Service we felt was not good at all. On our visit we had other diners receiving their meals well before we did. However food did make up for it. Some of the best we've had on Disney property. To this day we say that out of any dining venue located on Disney property, the Animal Kingdom Lodge has some of the absolute best. In addition you can also find some of the best and unique views around. How about we get to some food!

 Welcome to Sanaa!

Here is the bar area up front.

Along with the dining area. Some great views at the window of the Savannah, never know what animals you might encounter.

Lunch with an awesome view!

We start off with a Sangria. A drink we usually enjoy getting. This wasn't our favorite. Wasn't as fruity flavored as we would have hoped it would be.

Here is their most popular dish, the Indian-style Bread Service. It comes with Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kucha and Paneer Paratha. All very good! Also came with nine accompaniments.

Here are the nine accompaniments. Which include (in no order), Cucumber Riata, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal and Spicy Jalapeno-Lime Pickle. Some were really good and some not so much. Everyone has a different preference. Try them all!

This was the Potjie Inspired, which you have a choice of one Journey Item and One Harvest Item. I went with the Butter Chicken and Aloo Masala, served with Basmati Rice. This was crazy good! The flavor was unbelievable and would get this again in a heartbeat. I give it a 10 out of 10!

My wife I suggested to go with the South African Braaivleis, which is fire-grilled meats with traditional accompaniments. Our first try of this dish on this nice was not good, we had to send it back because it came ice cold to us. However the second time around it was hot and tasted amazing! It comes with lamb, beef and sausage. We loved the dish and wouldn't change a thing to it. On our next visit, we are happy to say that it was still amazing and perfect in every way!

We split the Kenya Coffee Barbecue Sandwich, this is made of pulled pork with root vegetable slaw in a bread bowl served with Sanaa chips. Another really good dish. Only thing, it wasn't really a bread bowl, more like a half loaf of bread. Doesn't matter, it was really good. Originally we were going to get this and a burger. However we saw EVERYONE with the Bread Service, so another visit and another Bread Service.

Thank you for checking out our review of Sanaa located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
