Backlot Express

Backlot Express - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Right outside of Star Tours is the Backlot Express which is a quick service option at Hollywood Studios. It has the basics here for a QS restaurant. They are geared a bit more towards Star Wars themed options, which for me works since I'm a fan! Overall it is great for a quick bite, but nothing amazing. We feel Hollywood Studios doesn't have the best food options here and hope that this changes in the upcoming years. Many options are basic and not too interesting.

This was the Chicken Breast Nuggets with a side of Fries and the Royal Guard Burger, which is a 1/3 lb Angus Beef Burger, topped with Barbecue Brisket, Pepper Jack Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes & Pickles. Disney does a great job with the Chicken Nuggets throughout the parks, we usually enjoy them a lot. An easy option. The Royal Guard Burger was something that we had to try. Wasn't the greatest burger ever, it was more unique than flavorful. Wouldn't rush to get that again.

I decided to go with the kids portion of the Chicken & Waffles, it comes with a few nuggets and one waffle, along with fries and a cookie. I also ordered a soda that I got for free, not sure if I was supposed to or not, but I enjoyed it! The cookie was my least favorite part of the meal. The chicken was great and loved it with the waffle. It was a perfect size portion.
